UDK Lighting and Color Adjustment

9:59 AM

So I was walking around Boston in Google maps street view (totally normal thing to do) and I found this interesting street view.

Here is the actual screen grab I did:

The main thing of this project was to create some interesting lighting on these 4 buildings. The reason why I liked the photo so much was because there was a lot of orange and blue present in the lighting.
Once again everything was created in Maya and Photoshop and assembled in UDK.

Tile-able Textures & that CrazyBump

9:45 AM

This project focused on using a few tile-able textures and decals to add interest to boring walls. This is actually a recreation of a cool alleyway I found on Google maps.

All of the meshes were creating using Maya and textured using Photoshop. Instead of sculpting the normal maps I used Crazybump to generate them from textures I created in Photoshop CS5.
The scene was assembled in UDK.

Modular Ruins

9:34 AM

The goal of this project was to create a small level utilizing only a few high quality assets. There are only about 8-10 meshes present in the scene, but as you can see I used a variety of vertex painting and lighting effects to break up the look of the scene.

Each mesh was created in Autodesk Maya. They all have normal maps created from high res zBrush sculpts and textures painted in Photoshop CS5. The scene was then assembled using Unreal Engine 3's UDK.

Check out my demo reel to view a fly through of this scene.
